Padre Balli Park Rate and Rules Title Background

Located on the North end of Padre Island on Park Road 22

and consists of 374.5 acres. Padre Balli Park is open all year. There are 54 paved campsites with water and electric hookups and a dump station located nearby. In addition there is a area for those wanting to pitch a tent with water and electric hookups that are centrally located.

 

The camper's bathhouse and washateria is available to campers using W/E sites. A fresh rinse shower is available for the general public. A first-aid station is located at the park office.

Park & Picnic Facilities

Is a pavilion available for daily public rental for gatherings. An expansive wooden deck system surrounds the north and eastern side of the structure and includes elevated dune walkovers that wind through the dunes, extending to the seating areas overlooking the beachfront.

 

The facility has water, power, barbeque pits, and restrooms and is served by a paved parking area. The facility does not have air conditioning or heating at this time, but ceiling fans are present to provide circulation. Tables and chairs are made available for use to customers.

 

The pavilion is an open air structure located onsite.

Is a 1,240 foot elevated pier that extends into the Gulf of Mexico. It provides access for fishing, bait and tackle for purchase and rent, and restaurant for visitors.

 

The pier also helps to generate favorable conditions for surfing year-around.

Recreational Vehicle (RV) Facilities: There are fifty-four (54) RV sites served by water and 30 amp electricity.

 

The park provides for the use of RV visitors a separate dump station, bathroom facilities with hot water showers, and laundry room.

 

Tent Camping Facilities: Tent camping is permitted on 35 designated sites in the park with shower and restrooms available for campers to use.

Park Office: Houses the administrative operations, where beach accessible wheelchairs are available, public restrooms and pay per use hot showers.

 

Picnic Facilities:

The park features many picnic sites with tables and cabanas, situated throughout the park and along the beach. Paved parking for visitors with 50 picnic tables, three of which are ADA accessible.

"To provide a mixed use Gulf of Mexico and barrier island beachfront park providing beach access for gulf waters and beachfront activities, recreational vehicle and camping access, a 1,240 ft gulf lighted fishing pier, observation deck and concessions area including public services for park users such as bathrooms, showers, first aid. Beach and shoreline maintenance are conducted consistent with permits involving beach, dune, endangered species protection compatible with beach and camping public use."
